Educational Services

Career Choice

The Career Choice is a series of educational seminars offered twice a year during the fall and spring months.   Each year PADC targets middle school, high school and college students who reside in the District of Columbia and Maryland.   One of the unique aspects of the Career Choice is it is free to the public and offered in the community.  The focus is to increase student's knowledge of educational opportunity and occupations related to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).  Since these fields are unrepresented by African Americans, the goal is to broaden student's knowledge and awareness and aid in the development of student's occupational goals.    View pictures associated with this program.

Green Fingers

PADC is launching an environmental campaign that will allow students to develop resolutions to environmental problems.  Students will develop leadership skills and become environmentally conscious while participating in poster contest, attending field trips to state and federal government agencies and submitting essays.   PADC is seeking posters for the Green Fingers Initiative for contest details visit our Facebook Fanpage.

Reading Challenge

Each summer PADC will be offering prizes to students ages 4 to 13 who have read books related to science and technology.   Parents must enroll students and submit each week a list of books that their child has completed accompanied with a brief handwritten narrative about each book.   PADC will track the progress of each student and notify parents via e-mail of the winner.   There is no cost to register, for more information send inquiries to info@pursuingadreamcorp.org.
